Air Wick is an American air freshener brand produced by Reckitt Benckiser. It was first launched in 1943 in the United States, and is now sold worldwide.
Ours began in 1943, when we started offering our home fragrance products in the United States. As word spread and demand grew for our premium scents, we expanded in 1953 to reach homes in Europe, Canada, and Australia.
History:
Air Wick was first introduced in 1943 in the United States. The Air Wick company was for a brief period owned by the Swiss pharmaceutical company Ciba Geigy, before being acquired by the British household products company Reckitt & Colman.
In October 2007, Reckitt Benckiser won a High Court ruling in a lawsuit with Procter & Gamble, over claims that the design of Air Wick Odour Stop was an exact copy of P&G’s Febreze air spray.
